Carmela Jackson is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. Carmela concentrates her practice in the areas of general civil litigation, insurance defense litigation, and insurance coverage litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Carmela represented financial institutions, small businesses and non-profit organizations in an array of areas including real estate litigation, real estate closings, collections, contract disputes, premises liability and first party property matters.
A native of West Virginia, Carmela attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree. Carmela received her Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. While attending law school, she also studied international taxation at Duke University School of Law. Carmela is a member of the Florida Bar. She is a former co-chair of the Ethics Committee of the Business and Commercial Litigation Section of the American Bar Association.
