Marcos Martinez is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Miami office. Mr. Martinez holds an AV Preeminent peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell in the areas of litigation, personal injury, and insurance. It is the highest rating available and is based on Mr. Martinez’s legal knowledge, analytic abilities, and ethics.
For over a decade, Mr. Martinez represented insurance companies, insureds, corporations, and local governmental entities in state and federal courts throughout Florida. Mr. Martinez has also represented school boards, police officers, and elected officials. Mr. Martinez now practices in the areas of personal injury law, trucking law, insurance coverage, and general civil litigation.
Mr. Martinez is a native Floridian. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School before he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University in 2004. He commenced legal studies at St. Thomas School of Law, where he placed in the top 5% of his class, made Dean’s List, and received multiple Book Awards. Mr. Martinez then transferred to the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, where he completed his second and third years of law school and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2007.
Mr. Martinez is a yearly chosen speaker for the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics & Public Trust’s Ethical Governance Day. He is admitted to practice before all Florida courts, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
